New Accounts Information

If your business requires MVR (Motor Vehicle Records) reports in connection with insurance, credit verifications, prospective employees or any other business purposes, we strongly recommend you open a Unisoft MVR Account.

As a registered user you will pay reduced fees and have access to many other advanced options.

You pay for reports using a pre-paid account system. You must fund your account initially with a minimum of $75.00. This will be deposited in a non-interest bearing account, and the cost for each report ordered will automatically be deducted from your account. If your balance is not enough to cover the record(s) to be ordered, the request will be denied. You can view your balance at anytime and replenish it as needed. You will be charged for each MVR you request. If the MVR request returns a no-hit, which indicates the driver license cannot be found, you will still incur the same charge as if the MVR had been available.

To open an account, submit a signed subscription agreement and a copy of your business, professional or insurance license or a copy of a federal form with your business name and federal tax identification number. A signed ACH authorization form and a voided check are needed if you are considering ACH as an account replenishment option. You can fax or mail the documents requested to the address on the subscription agreement. After review and approval of the information submitted, a member of our staff will contact you with your account information.

We offer two options for account funding: ACH and Credit Card.

Once your account is enabled for ACH you will be able to initiate a transaction to add funds using your checking account at any time and take advantage of the optional automatic account replenishment. With automatic account replenishment, your account balance will be compared against your pre-set minimum balance every night. If the balance is below the stipulated minimum, an ACH transaction will be submitted to your bank account and funds will be deposited in your MVR account. In a similar manner, if during your daily operations your account runs out of funds, an ACH transaction will be created avoiding service lapses due to insufficient funds.

As ACH transactions are offered at no cost to you, we encourage you to take advantage of this benefit. You will always have the option of increasing your balance in real time using a Credit Card *. When using this option you should consider:

  • An administrative fee of 3% will be assessed.
  • A maximum amount of $1000.00 is allowed per transaction.

These may include (but are not limited to): the credit card processor is not available, credit card transaction is denied by processor, and staff is not authorized to make credit card charges.
